The space shuttle Churchill is assigned to observe the Halley's Comet under the command of Col. Tom Carlsen. They see a strange form attached to the comet and Carlsen goes with a team to investigate. They find three humanoid life forms in caskets and they bring them to the Churchill. However, Earth loses contact with the shuttle and the Space Research Center sends another spacecraft to search the Churchill. They find the crew dead and the shuttle burnt and one rescue pod missing. They bring the humanoids to Earth and soon Dr. Hans Fallada and his team discover that the Space Girl is a sort of vampire and drains the life force from people transforming them into zombies. When the authorities find that Col. Tom Carlsen has survived, they summon him to explain what happened in the Churchill. Carlsen tells an incredible story about the three aliens and he teams up with Col. Colin Caine trying to save mankind from the evil vampires from the space. A space shuttle mission investigating Halley's Comet brings back a malevolent race of space vampires who transform most of London's population into zombies. The only survivor of the expedition and British authorities attempt to capture a mysterious but beautiful alien woman who appears responsible. This was a Golan-Globus production, which is almost all you really need to say about this movie. They made a lot of schlocky movies in the 1980's, but this was one of the better ones.

A British Space Shuttle finds a huge alien spaceship trailing Halley's Comet, filled with thousands of dead bat aliens and three naked people. The crew is killed, save one bad actor, and the vampires romp about London.

Since this is British Sci-Fi, nobody seems to get terribly perturbed about anything. Whole of London is being slaughtered by vampires? Too bad, old chap. Would you like a cup of tea? (No, seriously, this is said in the height of the crisis. I kid you not.) Colin Firth is good as the protagonist, while Steve Railsback is chewing the scenery because he's American. Also look for a nice guest shot by Patrick Stewart in a pre-Star Trek role.

I give this movie some points for gratuitous nudity by the leading lady. This is without a doubt a great underrated film. This movie deserves better ratings…maybe too many people took this film a bit too serious. It's a great twist on the vampire folklore, & having them originate from space was a neat idea as well. I hate reviewers who give away the idea of the movie, with spoilers (even though IMDB asks us not to give away spoilers), but it has a great score, decent effects & above average acting. Steve Railsback may not have been my first pick as the leading man, but he does a good job. Mathilda May doesn't have many lines in this movie, but she doesn't need to. Her presence in the film is a fantastic erotic, vulnerable & ghastly figure all balled into one. This is a film that deserves cult status, & should be viewed if you are a fan of decent Sci-Fi films, especially ones from the best decade…the '80s.
Never heard of the movie before however I am pretty sure that the movies shared here are worth spending time on and given the credibility of the uploader it seems to be a great time killer. Hope to watch the movie soon. clipping path service
